Constructed an art installation about abstraction

Constructed was Gregor's first solo show. For this dramatic installation staged in Hoxton, the heart of London's uber-cool contemporary art scene, he suspended fifty portraits from the cavernous roof of Circus Space, a renovated power station.

The paintings were attached to trapeze wires, hung in sequences, each group tackling the same subject in an increasingly abstract way. The resulting progressions charted the transition from real-world representation to the abstract depths of the subconscious.

Four hundred people attended the opening night, during which half the collection was sold in just four hours.

A triptych from the Constructed  show has now been installed at an RIBA award winning house in Rutland.
